To utilise an alcove, the client require something that fit well in the space and yet was free standing enough to take with them if they moved.  The exterior was classic and minimal, with a clear lacquered walnut base cabinet and drawer fronts and sleak and slim, brushed, solid brass bar handles. While the interior pops with colour and vibrance, so as to keep it simple on a day-today level, but playful, cheering inside when you are using.

The design of chest of drawers was very much a marriage of two people, with one partner requiring a deeper drawer and the other, shallow drawers, so we split them to make his/hers drawers, with the corresponding drawers in each persons colour, adding an extra personal edge to this bespoke piece.
