The Farm - Newman Street Facility

2016-2017

A full fit out of a new facility which includes 50 rise and fall edit desks, 7 audio desks, 2 grading desks, production bench desks and reception.

The rise and fall edit desks use a revolutionary new design, incorporating the actuators in custom top and bottom formed aluminium sections to make the legs appear as one leg frame, bolting on to the supporting metalwork.  The four rise and fall columns and metalwork, allow the desk to span 2.4m and with the dual vanity screen cables are hidden from sight.

The audio desks had very specific practical requirements to wrap around the operator, but also give the producer next to the operator a good sight line to the main screen, which naturally led to this 'S' shaped curved form, which to avoid intermediate legs getting in the way, required some clever constructional engineering to span the distance.  the leather buffer bar snakes around the curves and the equipment was housed in custom black lacquered shrouds to configure everything exactly to the clients requirements.
