Salone Del Mobile Milano - Koryo Miura & Isao Hosoe - A Retrospective

An exhibition of the life works of two great Japanese designers; Koryo Miura 'Ori', engineer, designer, astrophysicist, inventor and godfather of Origami, who's work involved working with NASA to develop satellites that fold out in space to paper with 'fold-out memory' (See Miura Fold).  Alongside some of the greatest work by famous Isao Hosoe, who has permanent display at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, and also in Milan and Chicago. He has received numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro, the Good Design Award of Japan and Chicago and the Gold Medal at the Triennale.  Shown here were such pieces as the Tacit Chair and Hebi Lamp.
