Valo, Finnish for light, was created for part of an experimentation into the forming and moulding of felt.  A former mould was created and a liquid mixture and stretching, the rigid but soft forms were fabricated.  The two halves of the moulds were then fused together using traditional Finnish needle felting techniques to bind the fibres together.
